ABOUT THE SHOW:
Accord Project is a non-profit, member-driven organization that builds open source code and documentation for smart legal contracts for use by transactional attorneys, business, finance and other professionals who use contracts. Nevena will take us behind the scenes of their “Dispute Resolution Working Group” and explain the opportunities and challenges of automating aspects of legal contracts using blockchain (Smart Contracts).
Nevena is currently a Co-Chair of the Dispute Resolution Working Group of the Accord Project, that focuses on exploring the use of blockchain technology in dispute resolution.
ABOUT OUR GUEST:
Nevena Jevremovic is Manager of Corporate Learning at the International Association of Contract and Commercial Manager (IACCM). Nevena brings experience in designing, developing and delivering training and education programs in international commercial law. She led the initiative of setting up a young professionals’ association – Association ARBITRI – focused on promoting resolution of commercial disputes through arbitration. In her capacity as the President of the Association, Nevena worked with the Commercial Law Development Program of the U.S. Department of Commerce on promotion and capacity building of commercial law and arbitration.
Nevena is the author of the national monographs on the Civil Procedure and Energy Law in volumes of the International Encyclopaedia of Laws. She is the Assistant Editor for Europe for the Kluwer Arbitration Blog, Contributing Editor to the CISG Database, and is involved in the Delos Dispute Resolution project as a Young Arbitration Practitioner. She holds an LL.M. in International Law from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law (2016) and an LL.M. in Civil Law in the EU from the University of Sarajevo, School of Law (2015).
